A Business Tool

Is the Internet a serious tool for business?

The Internet is unquestionably a serious business tool. We emphatically believe in the immediate potential and future promise of the Internet. Consider that just five short years ago, only a small number people even knew what the Internet was. Today, the Internet has become a multi-billion dollar electronic communication medium that has re-defined communication, is projected to have billions of users, and is home to millions of business Web sites that cater to the exploding Internet user population.

Five years ago, did you own a modem (or even a computer)? Did you have an e-mail address? Did you know what a URL was? Could you have conceived that in a few short years you would be able to:

Locate the status of a package you shipped this morning
Make a long distance call to Europe at no charge?
Reserve and pay for an airline ticket, choose your seat, order your meal

book a hotel room
rent a car
or plan an exotic vacation?
Update your software without having a diskette or CD?
Buy or sell a car online for free?
Trade stocks with instant execution for a $5.00 fee?
Order dinner and have it delivered?
Buy groceries and have them on your kitchen table in a few hours?
Apply for a loan and have a decision moments later?
Pay your taxes?

The Internet already provides unparalleled opportunities for cost-effective marketing and customer service. A site on the World Wide Web is one of the most powerful and visible means to market your company. Every business with a Web site has the potential to promote itself as an around-the-clock worldwide business.

If “perception is reality” and  “what you see is what you get”, as a business manager in the 00’s you need to make the most of what you’ve got.

You need to put your business online and “be seen”. Your competitors, if not already there, are planning their appearance.

Next we'll answer the questions you have whether your business is right for the Internet.
