Transfer your domain to Bluehost
Move your domain to Bluehost
Moving a domain from one hosting company to another is a relatively simple two-step process. One, you will need to modify the ‘nameservers‘ at your domain registrar. Then open an account with Bluehost using your existing domain name.
It is NOT required to transfer your domain’s registration to the Bluehost registrar. You may host any domain with Bluehost by simply contacting your current registrar and pointing the nameservers to Bluehost . The Bluehost nameservers are:
- Primary Server Hostname: NS1.Bluehost.COM
- Primary Server IP Address: 74.220.195.31
- Secondary Server Hostname: NS2.Bluehost.COM
- Secondary Server IP Address: 69.89.16.4
TIP! If you have any difficulty during this process, all major registrars have online chat support. They will walk you through the process of changing your nameservers. It is recommended to change your nameservers prior to opening your Bluehost account so that your domain will be pointed to their servers during the duration of the transfer.
